03.05.06 Brunswick 3 North End 1. What a great end to the season for the First Team, in wining the Senior Cup Final. Craig Griffiths netted the first goal within the first 15 minutes. North End equalised, and for a while they put us under pressure, before Adam Avo struck it home to make it 2-1 before half time. Then the second half was all to play for until Adam clinched it for us in the last minutes to secure the victory. A fantastic win, and now they will have to extend the trophy cabinet at the Transport Club!
29.04.06 Gors Inn 6 Brunswick 0. It was a dreadful way to end such a great season. Lets just put this behind us and focus on the cup game.
27.04.06 Ragged School 6 Brunswick 2. This was the game to decide if we could become champions of Division One in the first season. But it was not to be, and with only one game remaining, there is no chance of finishing top, despite leading the pack all season!
18.04.06 Winch Wen 1 Brunswick 0. Unlucky to have lost this one during the title race! Still 2 games to go.
15.04.06 Brunswick 3 Ragged School 3. A superb game of football, but every time we took the lead Ragged got one back. Our goals came from Shannon and Adan Avo getting two. It was the last touch of the game when a bad clearence lead to them getting the equaliser. The title race goes on!
01.04.06 Cwm Press 0 Brunswick 2. Semi-Final of the Open Cup. Robbie Lynn in only his second game of the season scored the first goal after 37mins. Brunswick looked in total control of the game, but it wasn't until the last minutes that the second winning goal came from Craig Davies. Lets hope we pick up that cup on May 2nd!
29.03.06 Brunswick 2 Winch Wen 1. Massive win for the first team boys against top division rivals.
25.03.06 Game postponed due to rain
18.03.06 Brunswick 3 St Josephs 1. This was the quarter final result that the boys were looking for, putting them intothe last 4 teams for the Open Cup.
11.03.06 Brunswick 3 Farmers Arms 0. A great win to keep the first team on top of division one!
04.03.06 No Game
25.02.06 Brunswick 7 Manselton 1. A superb result for the first team, playing well even without a few regulars. It was disappointing to see young Jon Eames getting sent off for mouthing to the referee. You know you will never get the ref to change his mind once he has made a decision, and need to have a some self discipline.........not the way for a captain to be setting an example!
18.02.06 No Game
11.02.06 Brunswick 2 Bonymaen 0. Great win against a side we beat earlier in the season. Adam Avo scored the first goal 12mins into the second half, after connecting with a ball laid on by Simon Turner. Then less than 10mins later Derek Protheroe got the second goal to secure their victory.
04.02.06 South Gower 4 Brunswick 3. First team were knocked out of the West Wales Cup 4th round by 2nd Division outfit South Gower. Our goals came from Derek Protheroe and Jon Eames (2), his second one converted from the penalty spot. Then as he tried to retrieve the ball from the net, the South Gower keeper took exception to this and after a bit of a pile in from players on both sides, two were sent off.
28.01.06 Cwm Press 2 Brunswick 4. Back on top form this week, showing why Brunswick will be top of the league at the end of the season. Adam Avo notched up another two to add to his impressive goal tally.
21.01.06 Brunswick 0 St Josephs 5. The first team were sent crashing out of the Open Cup. The only thing to say is that the score-line flattered Saints, as we pushed forward at 2 nil down, it left us with gaps in the defence and we were finished off. The boys will need to pull themselves together for next weeks game!
14.01.06 Brunswick 1 St Josephs 2. After going down 1 nil in the first half, the first team fought back hard to bring the game level. It was a tough battle with the type of tackles going in that should have seen a few yellow cards. But it was a cruel miskick from keeper Denco, that caused Fuddo to let the ball fall for the Saints forward to score the winner only two minutes from time.
07.01.06 Brunswick 3 CRC Rangers 1. Great start to the 2006 campaign with a win against a strong opposition. It could easily have all gone wrong if not for the oustanding goalkeeping by Chris Didenco. The first team look to be getting even better!!!!
17.12.05 CRC Rangers 0 Brunswick 2. This win put Brunwick into the next stages of the Open Cup. Our Man of the Match Jamie Angus struck the first goal after 10 minutes. Then at the start of the second half Craig Davies smashed one home from the edge of the box, to seal the victory.
10.12.05 Mumbles 1 Brunswick 6. I don't think Mumbles expected such a thrashing from the division one leaders. We were 2 up by half time, with the goals coming from Derek Protheroe and Jamie Angus. Then it was the second half blitz that killed them off, with 3 goals in 4 minutes. Simon Turner put the third away, with a blasting shot claimed to be goal of the match. Adam Avo scored the fourth. Jamie Angus headed home his second of the game from a Leigthton Cundy cross. Then it was Simon again with his second goal later in the second half to make it six. Mumbles netted themselves a consulation goal 2 minutes from the end. This was another superb display of football from the first team, showing everyone why they are top of the league
03.12.05 Brunswick 8 Winch Wen 7 (After extra time and penalties). This was a fight to the end, with the game being won on the last touch of the game by an outstanding penalty save by Brunswick's keeper Chris Didenco. Adam Avo found the back of the net 3 times, before being sent off for a double booking. This unfair harsh decision from the referee left us with 10 men against tough opposition. Winch Wen slowly came back into the game and got the equaliser in the 90th minute, taking it into extra time. It was stale mate after another 20 minutes play, despite both sides having chances in front of goal. Then it came to a penalty shoot out and Brunswick stepped up first and each one scored, from Ashleigh Mannings, Colin Price, Craig Davies, Derek Protheroe, finally a cool and calm Leighton Cundy. Winch Wen did their best to put the ball in the net, each time in the same place. This must have made Brunswick's keeper decide to sprawl out to his right and pull off a save that took his side through to the fourth round, knocking out the cup holders.
26.11.05 Game postponed due to heavy snowfall.
19.11.05 Ragged School 2 Brusnwick 3. What a cracking cup tie this was, Jonathan Eames's 35 yard rocket free kick was enough to settle this Open Cup tie, with 2 minutes of extra time remaining, kocking out Cup holders Ragged School. It was end to end stuff, both teams playing fast and fluent football. Brunswick took the lead each time through the match only for Ragged to come back and equalise. In extra time Simon Turner got Brunswick's 2nd goal with a powerful drive. A great result for the First Team and hopefully the start of a good cup run.

22.10.05 Brunswick 2 Farmers Arms 1. The Farmers pushed Brunswick to the limit, with thier well organised defence and battling midfield. It took a late goal 5 minutes from time from substitute Ceri Wheeler to seperate the teams and give Brunswick a hard earned victory.
15.10.05 Union Rangers 0 Brunswick 3. Chopper struck a beauty from 25 yards out with so much pace the keeper couldn't stop it. The other goals were both headers, one from Paul Wheeler and one from Derek Protheroe.
08.10.05 Manselton 0 Brunswick 7. One way traffic as the first team thrashed their opposition. Goals came from Paul Wheeler, Adam Avo, Neil Phillips, Jonathan Eames and a terrific hat-trick from Derek Protheroe, making him the club's current top goal scorer.
01.10.05 Brunswick 5 Pennar Robbins 4. What a thrilling cup tie this was, it had all the thrills and spills and 9 goals. Pennar were robbed of victory after 90 mintues and again in extra time, having taken the lead each time, only to have it snatched away by a determined Brunswick side. Goals first came from Craig Davies, then Jamie Angus and the third which took the game into extra time was a superb finish from Jonathon Eames. He grabbed another in the last period of 15, allowing us to draw level. But it was Derek Protheroe who got the winner only minutes from the game going into a penalty shoot-out. It was amazing!
24.09.05 Brunswick 1 Gors Inn 1. This was 2 points dropped, after conceding the equaliser in the last minute. The first team will be disappointed with themselves that they couldn't hang on to the 1 goal lead they got only 5 minutes earlier, through Adam Avo.
17.09.05 CRC Rangers 2 Brunswick 4. A brilliant hard fought game. After 15 mins we took the lead through Jonathon Eames bursting from midfield to fire home into the corner of the net. 2 minutes before half time CRC equalised from a corner, as they scrambled the ball over the line. Brunswick came straight back after Adam Avo was broght down in the box, and then took it from the spot, to slot past the keeper. In the second half, again Richard Gay from CRC, equalised with a neat flick over our defence. Then Adam Avo got us the lead with what surely was goal of the match. He connected perfectly with a pin point cross from Simon Turner, to head home our third goal. The last goal was 25 mins from the end, with his first golden touch of the game, from substitute Chris Joce, who had only just replaced the injured Paul Wheeler. Man of the match was youngster Shaun Howells, who gave an outstanding performance, having played in three different positions throughout the game.
14.09.05 Brunswick 4 Cwm Press 0. A hard fought battle, with outstanding perfomances from Jamie Angus and Shaun Howells. Amongst the goal scorers were Craig Davies and Adam Avo, who had only played his first game since last season.
10.09.05 Brunswick 3 Waunarlwydd 0. This was the first round in the open cup and the opposition proved to be no match for the might Brun. Goals came from Simon Turner, Derek Protheroe and Chopper.
07.09.05 Brunswick 3 Bonymaen 2. Another three goals and a convincing win. This was just the start of the season new manager Ceri Wheeler was hoping for. Following in his brothers footsteps, he should lead the first team on to a very successful year for Brunswick Utd.
31.08.05 Brunswick 3 St Josephs 1. Great start to the new season, with goals from the experienced centre forward Simon Turner.
